Franny Fantootsie tries on shoes brought to her grandfather's shop for repair, and each pair takes her on magical adventures all over the world. From tropical shores to the North Pole, Franny meets new people and animal friends with every step.

Is perfection real or is it an abstract concept unattainable in life? A fetishist sees the perfect pair of feet and goes to great lengths to meet them (and the woman to whom they're attached). He talks it over with his shrink (an axilla fetishist), sees the mystery woman remove her shoes at a Japanese restaurant (he sneaks over to her shoes and traces the sole of one in order to buy her a pair that will fit), and follows her, shoe box in hand, until the right moment. Meanwhile, we learn something about her own fetish when she sneaks into a hospital and puts on a nurse's outfit. When the moment of their meeting is at hand, will she accept his gift?

The Surete Commissioner assigns Inspector Clouseau and Sergeant Deux-Deux to the hazardous task of pursuing a criminal named Muddy La Feet, who leaves behind a trail of muddy footprints that lead Clouseau and Deux-Deux through a mine field and to a castle surrounded by an alligator-filled moat and sealed by an electrified door. A wealthy father tries to discourage his daughter's taste for stories of the Mounted; her imagination conjures up the ideal lover as one who wears that red coat and whose slogan is "get your man." She arrives at her father's camp in the frozen North the victim of a frameup: her father had planned that his employees must discourage her in every manner possible. The idea is if she sees him she will be disillusioned. A few hunters spying the "wolves" shoot with intent to kill, and a real bear enters the hut and scatters the plotters. The scheme works well, even with all these inconveniences, until a genuine Mountie appears on the scene and administers punishment to the arch-villain and his dwarf-like henchman. As a result the girl's romantic imagination vindicates her beau ideal. The two lovers are last seen standing chest-deep in the snow.

Based on the British TV series of the same name, the series follows three Seattle couples, each at different stages of their romantic relationships. It premiered on September 24, 1999 to mixed reviews and was canceled a month later because of falling ratings. Eight episodes were produced, of which four aired.
